Om stortgoederen effectief te kunnen vervoeren werden in grote aantallen stortwagons gebouwd. Men probeerde daar na verloop van tijd een en ander te standaardiseren. Zo ontstond o.a. de "Otmm57". Dit type werd vanaf midden 50-er jaren in grote aantallen gebouwd.

In vergelijkbare vorm zijn er door de jaren heen duizenden stortwagens gebouwd. Deze wagon was in heel europa aan te treffen. Ook in de tegenwoordige tijd zijn nog vele stortwagens beschikbaar. Op smalspoorbanen was en is dit wagontype vaak aan te treffen. Ook bij de Harzer Schmalspurbahnen waren en zijn de stortwagens vaak te gast. Zowel op Rollwagens als op de moderne Vevey Rollbocken.

HET MODEL

Veel aandacht is besteed aan de omzetting in model. Het model is vervaardigd uit hoogwaardige kunststof en in schaal 1:22,5 nagemaakt. De wagon is in lijn met de geldende Spoor II normen geconstrueerd. Het model is voorzien van edelstalen wielen. Kogelgelagerde assen zorgen voor de beste rijeigenschappen. Verder is het model voorzien van verende buffers en zijn ook de assen verend. Het model kan worden uitgerust met echte schroefkoppelingen (Art. Nr. 0006-0102).

Het model is speciaal ontwikkeld als lading voor onze Rollbocken (B.v. Art.Nrs. 0005-0201 en 0005-0301). Zodoende kunt u het Rollbockverkeer in model volledig nabootsen. De bijpassende Rollbockgrube is verkrijgbaar onder Art Nr. 0005-0001.

Een veel gestelde vraag is:"Wat is de hoogte van dit model?"
- Gewoon op 64 mm rails is de afstand tussen bovenkant spoorstaaf en bovenkant bak 17,0 cm.
- Opgebockt op onze Rollbocken is de afstand tussen bovenkant spoorstaaf en bovenkant bak 18,3 cm.

We bevelen aan om dit model te gebruiken op bogen met een radius van minimaal 120 cm.
