Sein 369 stond volgens officiële spoordocumentatie van ProRail in Station emmen.

Het sein bevindt zich direct langs Spoor 3.

Het sein beveiligt de rijroute in de richting van Zwolle (de spoorlijn Emmen – Herfte aansluiting)

Gekoppeld spoor: Spoor 3, direct bij de uitloop naar de wisselstraat richting Zwolle.

Dwergseinen zijn de lage varianten van de standaard lichtseinen langs het spoor. Ze worden hoofdzakelijk op emplacementen en bij stations gebruikt om rangeerbewegingen en treinen bij lage snelheid te beveiligen en te geleiden

Het toond drie kleuren: rood (stop), geel (rijden op zicht/rekening houden met stop) of groen (voorbijrijden toegestaan met de plaatselijk geldende snelheid)

Toekomstige aanpassing: Zoals vastgelegd in infrastructurele plannen van ProRail voor de internationale personenspoorverbinding richting Rheine, bleek de spoorafstand tussen spoor 3 en spoor 4 te krap om dit sein op een reguliere mast of als dwergsein op de grond te handhaven. In de vernieuwde lay-out wordt sein 396 daarom als hoog sein aan een seinportaal (boven de sporen) gemonteerd.
