GSLGB aandrijfassen met kogellagers

De assen van het aandrijfgedeelte van een LGB model zijn standaard gelagerd in de kunststof motorbehuizing.
Bij zeer intensief gebruik en/of matig onderhoud kan dat aanleiding geven tot het langzamerhand uitslijten van de asgaten.
Dit heeft tot gevolg dat de locomotief langzamerhand onzuiver gaat lopen en zelfs regelmatig ontspoort.
Het aanbrengen van (extra) ballast om doorslippen te voorkomen verergert en versneld dit proces nog meer.
In het verleden was vaak de enige oplossing het vervangen van het motorhuis. Helaas is de onderdelenvoorziening van met name wat oudere modellen (waar dit verschijnsel het meest optreedt) niet meer gewaarborgd.
Sinds kort kunnen we als mogelijkheid tot herstel aanbieden om de de uitgesleten asgaten te voorzien van stofdichte kogellagers.
De loopeigenschappen worden hiermede vaak zelfs beter als het originele aandrijfblok. Ook het dragen van extra ballast wordt zo beter doorstaan.
Aangezien er vrij veel typen aandrijfblokken in omloop zijn en de mate van aangerichte schade ook een rol speelt, is het niet mogelijk om een vaste prijsopgave te doen.
