LGB 22872 SNCF 141 R "Mikado" steam locomotive with tender in the classic dark green French National Railways livery.

The 141 R class is one of Europe's best-known post-war steam locomotives. Built in the United States and Canada, these powerful Mikado locomotives entered service with the SNCF during the 1950s on both heavy freight and passenger trains.

This model has been equipped with a Massoth XLS decoder featuring digital sound. It also includes a smoke generator, a powerful Bühler motor, four driven axles, twelve electrical pick-ups and an articulated drive system that allows reliable operation on tight LGB R1 curves.

The cab is finely detailed and fitted with an engineer figure. Additional features include opening cab roof hatches, an opening firebox door, a realistic coal load in the tender and a multi-purpose socket.

The locomotive is supplied in its original LGB box including the instruction manual and the accessories shown in the photographs.
