Die österreichischen Dampfloks der Baureihe U gehörten zu den meistgebauten Schmalspurdampfloks in Europa. 54 Stück dieser 24 Tonnen schweren und 7,2 Meter langen Lok wurden in den Jahren 1894 bis 1922 für verschiedene Schmalspurbahnen im damaligen Österreich-Ungarn gebaut. Mit einer Leistung von 225 PS und ihrer Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 35 km/h erfüllten sie alle an sie gestellten Anforderungen. Auch heute noch sind einige von ihnen auf verschiedenen Museumsbahnen im Einsatz, so auch die im Jahre 1900 gebaute U2 der Zillertalbahn, die zwischen Jenbach und Mayrhofen in Tirol verkehrt.

Originalgetreue Farbgebung und Beschriftung der Epoche VI, so wie die Lok heute noch zwischen Jenbach und Mayrhofen mit dem historischen Zug im Einsatz ist. Antrieb mit einem leistungsstarken Bühler-Motor auf alle drei Treibradsätze, Haftreifen. Völlig überarbeitetes Modell mit neuen Lampen, ergänzten Kesselanbauten und angesetzten geätzten Lokschildern. Ausgerüstet mit einem mfx/DCC-Decoder mit vielen digital abrufbaren und schaltbaren Funktionen wie verschiedene Licht- und Soundfunktionen sowie einem Rauchentwickler mit radsynchronem Dampfausstoss. Dreilicht-Spitzensignal mit der Fahrtrichtung wechselnd, Fahrgeräusch und zwei mittels Reedschaltern auslösbare Sounds auch im Analogbetrieb funktionsfähig. Länge über Puffer 34 cm.
