The HSB Mallet 99 5902 is a DCC-equipped steam locomotive with sound functions, built to 1:22.5 scale for 45 mm gauge track. It supports both analog and digital operation (DCC) and can run on R1-radius curves. The model is based on the historical Mallet locomotives of the HSB.

It features two Bühler motors, four powered axles, and current pickup via six contacts per bogie. A traction tire is fitted on the rear bogie. Stainless steel wheel rims enhance durability.

Equipped with a pulsed smoke generator, digitally prepared firebox flicker, speaker with volume control via CV 266, and full sound functions. Additional features include directional lighting, motion gear lighting, and real coal in the bunker. The body is made of painted LURAN S plastic and is weather-resistant. An extra coupling hook is included.
