Hij is vaak ingezet in combinatie met een open bijwagen, bijvoorbeeld bij speciale ritten naar Scheveningen, met name in de zomer of bij evenementen. Flickr+2hovm.nl+2

Tegenwoordig wordt 265 gebruikt voor ritten van het HOVM, inclusief ritten naar Scheveningen als speciale museumtram. hovm.nl+1
Gebruik rondom Scheveningen

Tijdens speciale dagen (bijv. museumritten) rijdt 265 (met bijwagen 769 in sommige gevallen) naar Scheveningen. hovm.nl
Er is een foto uit 2014 waarop 265 + 505 bijna de eindbestemming “Zwarte Pad” in Scheveningen bereikt. Flickr
